Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave professionally at all times during HKMUN 2027. The Executive Board strongly condemns any inappropriate behavior.
 

Participants are expected to observe a smart business dress code at all times during HKMUN 2027. Articles of clothing for male delegates and chairs should include blazers, button-down shirts with collars, formal shoes, and ties are also recommended. Articles of clothing for female delegates and chairs should include formal blouses/tops and dress pants or skirts, as well as formal shoes such as boots, heels, and flats. Blazers are recommended for female delegates and chairs. 
 

Respect and mindfulness of other participants, property, and/or persons associated with HKMUN 2027 are expected from all participants.
 

Participants should use their electronic devices exclusively for purposes related to HKMUN 2027. Any form of online or cyber-harassment will serve as sufficient grounds for immediate expulsion from HKMUN 2027.
 

Participants are expected to observe academic integrity. Any form of academic malpractice and/or plagiarism will serve as sufficient grounds for automatic disqualification.
 

Discrimination and/or disrespectful behavior and speech, such as but not limited to sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, and/or ableism, is strictly forbidden. The Executive Board will not tolerate such acts. These acts will serve as sufficient grounds for immediate expulsion from HKMUN 2027 and communication with representatives from a participant’s institution. 
 

Behavior that is hurtful and/or interferes with the experience of other participants, such as harassment, bullying, intimidation, and/or attacks on personal integrity, is strictly forbidden. The Executive Board will not tolerate such acts. These acts will serve as sufficient grounds for immediate expulsion from HKMUN 2027 and communication with representatives from a participant’s institution.
 

Any form of physical and/or bodily harm, including threats of physical and/or bodily harm, is strictly forbidden. The Executive Board will not tolerate such acts. These acts will serve as sufficient grounds for immediate expulsion from HKMUN 2027 and communication with representatives from a participant’s institution. 
 

Violation of any of the above rules may result in the participant’s suspension and/or expulsion from the event, and any other action that HKMUN 2027 and the Executive Board deem appropriate.
